Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update Begins for US Users

After a long and tortuous wait, Samsung Galaxy S3 users will be finally getting their Android 4.1 Jelly Bean updates. Samsung has finally started to push the updates for its Galaxy S3 smartphones. Poland happens to be the first country where this update has been started. So the Poles are lucky to get the updates first as compared to their brethren in other countries.
No word has been forthcoming for the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean updates for the Samsung devices in the U.K. According to a statement from Samsung which is reproduced here-“The software will hit Poland first before gradually being introduced to other markets. The availability and schedule of the software upgrade will vary by market and wireless carriers’ requirements”
The much touted Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update will augment the features of the Galaxy S3 in more than one way. Among the features which will have a facelift includes better performance as a result of Project Butter, a restructured settings menu, 2 home screen modes, simplified notifications bar, Google Now and a re-sizable Pop-up play screen.
The following Samsung Devices are in queue for the Android 4.1Jelly Bean updates- Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 & 10.1, Galaxy Note 10.1, Galaxy SII, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, Galaxy S Advance, Galaxy SII LTE, Galaxy Music, Galaxy Chat, Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy Beam, Galaxy Ace Plus, Galaxy mini II and Galaxy S DUOS.
According to SamMobiles, Samsung will start pushing the Android 4.12 Jelly Bean updates to more countries. The Galaxy S3 LTE which is compatible with 4G wireless networks will be pre loaded with the Jelly Bean OS.Google meanwhile has announced that Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S and the Motorola Xoom will be getting the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean updates by air. However it is still not clear if all the Nexus models will get the updates.
The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean updates are about 15.1 MB and will be updated in phases. Samsung Telecommunications America LLC has announced the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean updates for US users of the device. It is believed that the 4.1 Jelly Bean updates is a pre cursor for the launch of the Android 4. 2 Key Lime Pie which will be featured in the upcoming LG Nexus smartphone.
