Update on the Certuche Foundation: Go Alehandro!

In January of this year we published a short article about 11 year-old entrepreneur, Alejandro Certuche, who started a project to donate inexpensive Android phones running iAugcomm, Apps4Android’s Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) application to children with Autism in Colombia.

Today we received the following note from Victor, Alehandro’s mentor and proud father (we are also very proud of Alehandro):

It took a long time, due to paperwork to setup the foundation but we finally travelled to Colombia last week to donate 10 devices to two foundations in Colombia.  Below is a link to a picture of Alejandro taken in Bogota.

Also, there are two videos of kids with autism receiving the devices (Spanish audio).

We will continue the effort to provide full coverage to all kids that need the devices, and thank you again for your generosity.

Note from Apps4Android’s CEO:

It is great, caring, people like Victor and Alehandro that make the world a better place for all of us to live in, and we sincerely appreciate their efforts!
