WASHINGTON, DC (BUSINESS WIRE) – June 13, 2012 – Steve Jacobs, President, IDEAL Group and CEO Apps4Android today expressed his pleasure that Samsung has taken Apps4Android’s innovative use of Near Field Communications, in support of accommodating the access needs of individuals with disabilities, to the next level… a mainstream application!

According to Steve Jacobs, President, IDEAL Group and CEO Apps4Android, “We were thrilled to see a powerhouse of innovation like Samsung take the concept of IDEAL Talking Tags to the next level!”

IDEAL Talking Tags is a talking label maker/reader application, designed in support of accommodating the access needs of individuals who are blind. IDEAL Talking Tags is based on Apps4Android’s Near Field Communication (NFC) Tec-Tiles.

Samsung announced their TecTiles NFC Tags and TecTile programming application to allow consumers to launch apps, send text messages, share contact information, change phone settings and more, with an NFC-enabled Galaxy smartphone. With a simple tap of an NFC-enabled phone to a TecTile, consumers can now automate everyday functions of a smartphone, including sending a “headed home” text message, silencing the phone when entering a meeting, setting an alarm, and dimming the display when going to bed.
